2 on 1: Your Man / Long Black Train

This release brings together 2 of Josh Turner's albums in one package.

Josh Turner's debut album, Long Black Train was a million seller. It is a classic country album, the kind that Nashville used to make in what traditional country fans affectionately refer to as 'the good old days'. From the autobiographical Backwoods Boy to the achingly melancholy I Had One One Time, it’s an album full of meaningful lyrics married to memorable melodies.

Your Man is a mature performance, from the nostalgic autobiography of Way Down South, the deadpan humour of Baby's Gone, and then the breakthrough title song. The romantic theme is perfect for Josh’s distinctive vocals. In contrast, Loretta Lynn's Lincoln, is a hilarious walk on the goofy side, and Lord Have Mercy On A Country Boy, a solid remake of a Bob McDill gem first released by Don Williams in 1990 could almost have been tailor-made for Josh Turner, a genuine 21st century country boy himself.
