Tanya Tucker is one of the best known of all the female Country singers ever to come from Texas. Actually notching up her very first hit single at the age of just thirteen, Tucker’s career has been a rollercoaster ride for decades, including a remarkable number of Country hits.

In the seventies Tanya Tucker recorded a number of albums for CBS/Columbia and then for MCA Nashville. After a very bright start in the early seventies, her star was beginning to fade later in that decade.

Signing to Capitol in 1985, Tucker managed with the album ‘Girls Like Me’ to pull off one of the most successful comebacks of all time – and she was still only 26 years old!

‘Love Me Like You Used To’, which followed was even better received, and cemented a relationship with Capitol/Liberty/EMI which was to last over 15 years.
