Happiness and All Other Things

Through relentless touring and a string of “raucous” recordings “far divorced from mainstream country” (NY Times), Cross Canadian Ragweed have built a passionate, grass roots fanbase unlike any other in contemporary American music. The band has sold over one million albums and plays over 250 shows annually, rocking an estimated half a million fans this year alone.

On September 1st the foursome - frontman/lead guitarist Cody Canada, drummer Randy Ragsdale, rhythm guitarist Grady Cross and bassist Jeremy Plato - will release their new studio album 'Happiness and All The Other Things' via Humphead Records in Europe.

“Our goal for this record was to do something different from anything we'd done before,” says Canada, and they succeeded with an album that's more resolute and varied than its predecessors. At times rocking like a red dirt Cheap Trick, at others recalling Bob Seger at his most reflective, 'Happiness' features twelve new songs, produced by longtime Ragweed collaborator Mike McClure. A limited edition first run of the album will also include three live bonus tracks.

Cross Canadian Ragweed will tour nonstop throughout the summer including a string of dates on the Rebels of Rock tour with Kid Rock and Lynyrd Skynyrd kicking off July 7, followed by their own Red Dirt Roundup in Fort Worth, TX on Sept 6. Now in its fourth year, The Red Dirt Roundup is curated by Ragweed and draws over 15,000 fans. Past Roundup performers include The Black Crowes, Son Volt, Drive By Truckers, Reverend Horton Heat and Robert Earl Keen.
